I'm sure you've seen or heard about twitter before, it's a new social networking service which has already caught on quite well. By definition twitter is a micro blogging service, which basically means that instead of having entire post of conent, you're dealing with fragments of information. At first I really didn't get it, or thought it was kind of silly but now that I've been using it for a while I have to admit that I do see the value in it. TV Shows, Dj's, Producers, Record Labels, Artists and many others are using this service to keep the world posted on what they're doing. You can use twitter to post updates for your company or band, or you can keep your friends up to date on what's happening in your life. 

Ok technically I already covered the basics in one of my previous posts but since I dig it so much I figured I'd dedicated a whole post just to this topic. I'm speaking of "soundcloud" which is one of those socalled "cloud" solutions. In case you didn't know, these cloud services have a certain make up, and the main idea here is scalability. Scalability in terms of web services usually means that they can be increased in size without any effort. There are also cloud hosting solutions nowadays, which take a different approach when it comes to the resources that are made available to the clients.

I already mentioned and showed it off in this and this post but there are two new services you should definitely not miss out on and I'm going to cover the first one in this post. The service is called "Dropbox" and you can sign up to a free account on their website. Dropbox can be used for many different things but the main concept here is that you have 2GB of storage on a server that lets you share this with others.

The regular accounts are free and come with 2GB worth of storage, but if you need more you can always sign up for an upgraded account which comes with up to 50G of space. You can upload pictures to your photo album, and dropbox will automatically turn it into a nice photo album with slide show capabilities - all you have to do is upload the pictures.
