[edit] Login To The Gallery
Login to the gallery system by click on the login button located in the top right hand corner or click here
The username/password is posted in the forum. It's rather unsecure to post this type of information here. If you need the info you can always send me an email. If you're registered on the forum you can just click on the forum link and it will take you directly to the post that contains the username and password.
[edit] Add Album
Once you're logged in, you have to decide where your pictures are going to be uploaded to. Use the sidebar to add albums, pictures, etc.
Here's a screenshot of where the sidebar button is located in case you can't find it. It is rather tiny.
Look at our existing directories and decide which album your pictures belong to. If you have festival pictures, enter the festival album and create a new 'sub' album there with your current pics.
If you have birthday pictures, click on the birthday folder and create a directory for yourself in there.
[edit] Add Pictures
It's important to read over everything here otherwise you're going to get very frustrated. There are several ways to do this, depending on your situation.
The first thing you need to do is login. When you're logged in, you have to decide what you want to do. Do you want to add an album and put pictures in it? Then you have to create a new album and enter the album to add th e items. If you're just looking add items to an existing album, simply go to the album in question, and click on the "sidebar" link on the right.

[edit] From Web Browser
This option is best suited for those people that either don't know how to use [ftp], or just have a few pictures they want to upload.
[edit] From Web Page
If you want to add pictures from a remote location, such as Flicker, Photobucket, etc simply enter the full url to the picture. The interface will walk you through the necessary steps.
[edit] From Local Server
This method is intended for users who have uploaded are intending to upload pictures via ftp. This is meant for people who have a lot of pictures and none of the above mentioned methods is going to be as time efficient as this one.
[edit] Upload Applet
Don't use this.
[edit] From Picasa
If you have a pica album with google, use this method.
In the event that you just want to add pictures to an already existing album, follow the same procedure as listed above. Click the album you want to add pictures to, and then choose "add items" in the sidebar menu.
Following is a screenshot of the add items menu:
[edit] Summary
It's actually quite simple to add new pictures to any album once you've done it a few times. It's always the same procedure: Click on desired album, create sub album if necessary. Then upload your pictures using the 'add item' feature. That's all there's really to it.
One thing to keep in mind is not to attempt to upload 300 pictures. We already have over 4,000 images in our database so it makes sense to pick your 10-20 favorites from any 'film' and just upload those.
Hopefully this guide will help everyone with their picture upload, we really need to get this rejuvenated. Thanks in advance for your participation.
[edit] Other Useful Information
The Gallery has a few plugins installed now that will make things easier to use. One of these plugins is a little link which appears underneath albums, which shows whether the albums have seen any updates, new entries, etc. Also, I've added the feature of being able to send pictures as ecards as described here.
